MOTHERSUPERIOR

As Sister Spinster was to the Cadillac Beatspinner, Mother Superior is a next-generation, "superior" Truax motorized rhythm machine. Introduced in 2008 (and first featured on record on the single 'Joe Meek Warns Buddy Holly' in 2009), she is bigger, and because of her solenoid-based kick drum and other improvements, she hits harder and louder and with higher fidelity.

This does not mean Sister Spinster is retired though. Like 'real' drummers, both machines have their individual style and charm, and certain songs based on Sister Spinster's unique style and sound will always belong to her, just as newer material based on Mother S.'s kickass punch and unique features will be hers. Also, Mother Superior is too big to fit in an airplane baggage hold, so traveling overseas with her presents some issues.

As with most of these instruments, she is a work in progress and will grow part by part/feature by feature, over time.
